My charger is offline – what should I do?
If your charger appears offline in the app, or you’re unable to start a charging session, it is typically because the charger has lost its network connection.
Fortunately, this is often something you can resolve yourself.
Why does the charger go offline?
Common causes include:
- Poor connection (e.g. in a garage or basement)
- Interference from the surroundings
- Temporary network issues with the telecom provider
What does this mean for you?
When your charger is offline, you may experience the following:
- You cannot control it via the app
- You will see a message indicating that your charger is offline
- Charging history is not updated (data will appear once the charger is back online)
- Scheduled charging settings are not applied
How to fix it
- Turn off the charger at the electrical panel
- Wait 5 minutes
- Turn the charger back on
This restarts the charger and often resolves the issue by forcing it to reconnect to the network.
Once the charger is back online, your charging sessions will automatically update in the app, and you will regain control of the charger.
Still not working?
If the issue persists, it may be due to an unstable connection. You can improve the connection by connecting the charger to your Wi-Fi.
