How to request access to a restricted TruckCharging location (as a Guest/Fleet Manager)
- Log into TruckCharge Connect
- Open the TruckCharge charge map / network view
From there you can discover restricted locations that require approval before use.
- Open the location you want to use
Click the location on the map/list to open its details (this is where you’ll see whether it needs approval).
- Click “Request access”
This sends an Access Request to the Host (depot/operator/site owner) for approval/rejection.
You will then receive an e-mail
- Track the request status
Go to the Access Requests page in Connect to see the status:
- Wait for Host approval
The Host will see the incoming request and can accept or reject it.
You will receive an e-mail about the approval/rejection:
And you can view your status in Connect:
- After approval: use the host location for bookings/charging
Once approved, the guest fleet can use the location (and if the host uses bookings, proceed with booking before charging).
Notes
- If a host has “matchmaking / request access” enabled, you must be approved before you can use those locations.
- If you don’t see the “Request access” action at all, it usually means either:
- the location isn’t set to require access requests, or
- your user doesn’t have the right TruckCharge permissions/feature access in that environment.
How to approve/reject access to your depot (as a host/depot owner)
Make sure you can receive access requests (pre-check):
- Your location must be configured as a restricted / semi-public TruckCharge location where access requires approval (the “matchmaking” setup). In that setup, guests must request access and you can approve/reject.(If this isn’t enabled on the location, guests won’t need to request access, and you won’t see incoming requests.)
- Log in to Connect as a Host for the company that owns the location(s).
Open the Access Requests page
You should see a list of incoming requests from guest fleets, including their current status.
You will also receive an email about a new request:
- Approve or reject the request
As a host, you explicitly accept or reject guest fleets’ requests to use your infrastructure.
What happens after you decide?
If you approve / accept
- The guest fleet becomes allowed to use your location(s) under the TruckCharge access-request model.
- The guest can then proceed with bookings/charging (depending on whether you also require bookings on the site).
- You can revoke access after approval at any time
If you reject / decline
- The request is marked rejected, and the guest fleet does not get access i.e. cannot charge at your site
Note, that once a guest has been rejected, they cannot send another request for the same location.
Ongoing management (recommended routine)
Periodically review the Access Requests page to:
- spot new incoming requests
- see which fleets are approved vs pending/rejected
keep your host network “clean” (only fleets you actually want to allow).
