And with the newest addition, Price Optimised Charging, the platform goes one step further: it automatically picks the cheapest hours within that window, so you save even more without lifting a finger.
When charging many vehicles, many days a year, small differences in the cost of electricity add up fast. Once your schedule is set, drivers simply plug in and walk away — the platform handles the rest.
Scheduled Charging is only available on charger models verified by Spirii to support this functionality.
What is Scheduled Charging?
Scheduled Charging lets you define a time window during which each connector in your network is allowed to deliver power. When a driver plugs in, the session is held until the window opens — then charging starts automatically, with no further action needed from the driver.
What is Price Optimised Charging?
Price Optimised Charging is a smart addition to Scheduled Charging. Instead of delivering power as soon as the schedule window opens, the platform analyses electricity spot prices and charges only during the cheapest intervals within your window, while still hitting your required charging duration before the window closes.
- Without it: The vehicle starts charging at the scheduled start time, at whatever price applies then.
- With it: The platform identifies the cheapest hours inside your window and delivers power only then — automatically.
Who is it for?
Price Optimised Charging works for both B2B and B2C customers on variable electricity tariffs (spot prices or time-of-use). It's most effective when vehicles are connected for longer than they strictly need to charge. For example, a fleet plugged in overnight. Where is it available?
Price optimisation requires access to electricity spot price data. It is currently supported in:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
If your region isn't listed, you can still use Scheduled Charging, but the price optimisation option won't be available.
How it works
You set a schedule with three inputs: a start time, an end time, and the number of charging hours needed within that window. When Price Optimised Charging is enabled, the platform distributes those charging hours into the cheapest intervals available, starting and stopping power automatically. During pauses, the charger shows a SuspendedEVSE state — this is expected.
Schedules recur daily by default.

How it works with Opening Hours
Price Optimised Charging works alongside your location's Opening Hours settings:
- During opening hours, regular charging is allowed for any authorised driver
- Outside opening hours, only the price-optimised schedule controls when power flows
- A driver who plugs in during opening hours and stays connected past closing time will automatically switch to scheduled charging logic at the end of opening hours
