Adding Chargers to a Location

Chargers must be added to the location to become operational in the system.

This step links the physical charging hardware to the digital representation of your depot, making the chargers available for discovery, booking, and charging.

1. Go to your location and navigate to "Charge boxes"
2. Click on the "+" button to add a charger

• Add the charger type: Always choose "Other"
• Add the serial number of the charger: Use the charger’s printed serial number exactly as shown by the manufacturer
• Optionally, add the Charge box identity (CBID): The system will autogenerate if you don't have one
  Note: the identifier is what the physical charger uses when it connects to the Spirii backend via OCPP.

3. Click Create to add your charger

Adding the charger to the location does not itself “bring it online.”

It goes online when the physical charger is configured with Spirii as its OCPP backend and successfully connects.

 

Case example: Alpitronic (Hypercharger)

1. Create the charge box in Spirii (Connect/Tech UI)

• Charger type: choose Other
• Serial number: enter the charger’s serial number
• CBID / name: set it to a Spirii identity like DK.SPI.Hxxx (pick the next free ID in the .Hxxx range)

2. Configure the charger’s OCPP endpoint to Spirii

• The charger must be configured to connect to:
  • wss://connect.spirii.app/DK.SPI.Hxxx (where DK.SPI.Hxxx is the CBID you created)

3. Connectivity specifics often needed for Alpitronic

• If it has a Spirii SIM installed, the technician must set APN = 3iot.com

4. Optional (only if relevant)

• If the charger has a CCV payment terminal configured, set CreditCardVirtualTagId = CCVPayment

Once that’s done and the charger has power + network, it should establish the OCPP (secure WebSocket) connection and show as online.
