On your specification file, you will find the excludedReason column. This column contains, for every single individual charging record, the reason for why this revenue is not included in the self billing from Spirii.
Read a detailed description for each excludedReason here:
Free Charging
- The CDR is registered as free of charge. This can be due to home charging, using a voucher or charging at a Fleet Depot.
Chargebox open without authentication
- The charger is not relying on the CPMS for authentication of charging sessions. This can be due to a local cache of tokens being configured to “vending mode” or similar.
- These are the CDRs that show up as Unauthorized or NoTag, NoUID or Auth. Disabled.
Consumed energy is < 0.2 kWh
- These are the CDRs that have some sort of error in the charging - also referred to as “Zero kWh sessions” in the industry. It can be communication errors between the vehicle and charger, errors with the charger or similar.
Payment method is payment terminal and Spirii is not the merchant
- For in-person payments using local payment terminals, you can choose to bring your own acquiring agreement, or use Spirii’s. If you are using your own agreement, you will get paid through your payment provider and not through Spirii.
- You can check this on the Payment Terminals registered in Connect, and double-check on the Receipts who the Merchant is.
Invalid meter values received from the charger
- Sometimes, certain chargers are not OCPP compliant, or send inconsistent data causing charging records to exhibit invalid values such as negative consumption or very large consumption. Spirii continuously monitors and proactively works with chargers and charger manufacturers to minimise this from happening.
Session duration is more than 7 days
- If a charging session is active for more than 7 days, Spirii cannot hold payment reservations and cannot guarantee charging revenues.
Your Fleet Charging
- When your own Fleet or your own Fleet Customers are charging at your chargers, and you are not using Spirii for charge token billing, you do not need this revenue to pass through Spirii (as you have already collected it from your customers).
Authorized with system tag (installer / maintenance use)
- Specific charging tokens can be marked as System use. These are usually tokens issued to installation partners or for maintenance usage. Even though the CDRs are rated with a price, they should be considered as Free charging due to the use-case being maintenance.
Peer-to-peer settlement between you and the EMP
- If you set up a Peer-to-peer settlement with a 3rd party EMP, you will settle directly with that partner and not automatically receive revenues through Spirii.
