Creating and Managing Charge Key Groups

Charge Key Groups allow you to control which RFID Charge Keys can be used at specific locations. This helps you restrict access to your charging infrastructure and ensure only approved users with specific RFID charge keys can initiate charging on the chargers.

Create a Charge Key Group

1. Go to Charge Keys in Connect
2. Open the Charge Key Groups tab in the top
3. Click the Create icon in the top right
4. Enter a name for the group
   • (Optional) Select a customer if managing on behalf of someone else
5. Click Create

The Charge Key Group is now created. Open it to assign charge keys and locations.

Add locations and keys to the group

1. Open the newly created charge key group
2. Go to the Locations tab
3. Select the locations that should be restricted to this group
4. Save the changes
5. Click Locations
6. Select the locations that should be connected to this group.
7. Click Charge keys
8. Select the keys to add to this charge key group.

Alternatively, you can assign from the Locations tab in Connect

1. Go to Locations
2. Open a specific location
3. Navigate to the Charge Key Group tab
4. Click Create a charge key group

Only charge keys within the assigned group will be able to initiate charging at the connected locations, ensuring controlled and secure access.
